Uma is from Delhi and holds a bachelor’s degree. She began her journey with Learning Initiatives for India (LIFI) through the LeAD UR India Fellowship (2023 – 2025). After successfully completing the fellowship, she joined LIFI as a Youth Facilitator in Purkhas in August 2025.

During her fellowship, Uma gained experience in Foundational Literacy and Numeracy (FLN), supported children’s learning through the library program, and led a Social Action Project in the community. These experiences strengthened her confidence, communication, and project management skills, while deepening her commitment to working with children and communities.
